Pre-Legendary... a bold moniker plainly evoking the egotism and humor that makes noisy Rock 'n' Roll so much fun. Pre-Legendary came together in early 2011 with the common goal of injecting some high energy and excitement back into local music. The group is a combination of various veteran musicians from the San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento and Santa Cruz scenes*.

Pre-Legendary is a band that refuses to conform to any Rock 'n' Roll subgenre, instead choosing to mix and match from whatever era in music it deems necessary to create a good tune. The dynamics of 1960s British Invasion, Garage and Folk Rock are liberally mixed with licks borrowed from 1950s Country and Rockabilly, before being dumped on top of the tried-and-true Punk Rock template created by the finest of the Detroit and CBGB bands.

Additionally, some of Pre-Legendary's influences are worn on its sleeve, as you can hear in the band's choice of cranked-up cover versions. Bona-fide crowd favorites by the likes of George Jones, The Nightcrawlers, Nick Lowe, Fats Domino, David Allan Coe, Merle Haggard, John Fogerty, and Commander Cody will keep your bar patrons happy, thirsty and tipping well!
